Description
The Admission Coordinator is responsible for pre-screening and scheduling admissions in order to maintain capacity for all levels of care at SpiritLife, Inc. The Admission Coordinator serves as the front-line contact for individuals and families seeking treatment and is responsible for building and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, their families, referral sources and other community professionals. The Admission Coordinator ensures individuals are admitted in a timely manner, have a pleasant and expedient admissions experience and are treated with respect, compassion and dignity.
Job Duties
- Answer phones, return calls and complete pre-screen interviews.
- Provide program information to individuals seeking treatment.
- Schedule admissions and arrange transport as necessary.
- Verify insurance benefits; communicate all upfront costs with potential clients.
- Assist with intake paperwork and new client orientation.
- Call families and referral sources to notify of client’s admission.
- Complete and fax admission paperwork to funding agencies. (SCA’s, DPW, & Heathcare providers)
- Continually update bed board and admission schedule to ensure accuracy.
- Review Transportation Log each evening to confirm transport has been arranged for the next day.
- Complete and send out a daily admission report.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Excellent communication skills and strong professional boundaries.
- Ability to work independently with limited direct supervision.
- Ability to work with computers and the necessary software typically used by the department.
- Good problem-solving ability, organizational skills and attention to detail.
Job Type: Full-time
