Admissions and Utilization Coordinator Qualifications:
- Education: BA or BS in social work or related human services field or full-time experience in the delivery of human services.
- Experience: Experience in admissions, HR, or social work is highly preferred.
- Licensure: Ability to pass a background check and obtain a Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card
Admissions and Utilization Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Obtain referral packet
- Generate and maintain referral list
- Review referral packet and gather relevant information
- Distribute referral packet to the MMYTC Team for review and input
- Schedule and invite placing agency representatives and guardians to interview
- Complete interviews
- Relay information to MMYTC team who determines acceptance
- Send acceptance / denial letters
- Communicate with referral source for additional info., transport, etc.
- Communicate with parents to answer any questions, concerns, etc.
- Ensure consent forms are signed and received, as well as, CONS, etc.
- Alert Staff to admission dates and provide relevant information
- Arrange / Provide transportation for new students
- Orientate the students to MMYTC expectations and campus
- Provide transportation to current students to court, as needed
- Appear in court and / or relay information to caseworkers
- Assist Marketing Department when needed
- Complete weekly reports, prior authorizations
- Checks AHCCCS eligibility prior to admit directed by Admissions team
- Assists in obtaining medical records from previous treatment stays
- Maintains daily/weekly RON list, tracking authorization dates
- Completes all continued stay review paperwork and compiles required collateral information for submission
- Coordinate or conduct continued stay reviews for all MCO and insurance funded residents
- Will alert MMYTC, therapist and Finance team to estimated authorization time frames remaining so discharge planning can intensify.
- Will review records to determine medical necessity.
- Works closely with all departments to ensure that their specific departments and services meets regulatory requirements and continues to provide high quality services.
- Completes home pass/bed hold authorization forms and submits to funding source
- Complete daily/weekly/monthly census deliverables
- Other duties as assigned
- Adheres to Mingus policy and practice concerning creation, editing, transmission, storage, and disposition of all Protected Health Information in compliance with HIPAA
Mingus Mountain Youth Treatment Center is a Joint Commission accredited residential treatment center for emotionally and behaviorally at-risk adolescent girls. MMYTC's main facility is located on a 120-acre campus surrounded by National Forest, 25 minutes from the town of Prescott Valley. This opportunity will provide excellent training and experience in helping an at-risk population that presents numerous unique strengths and challenges.
