- Position Summary:
The PACS/RIS Administrator’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, day to day action and tasks associated with the initial implementation, the daily systems operations, data integrity, modality interfacing, and system maintenance and improvement of and for the PACS system. Duties include assisting with identifying user requirements for the best possible technical solution, identifying problem causes, assisting in designing a solution, assisting in modifying the application or process, testing, implementation, and documentation of the solution. Project participation duties will include involvement in hardware/software selection, following a detailed project work plan with tasks to be completed, resources required, and making presentation to project team on accomplishments, issues, and software alternatives. System support duties will include interfacing with Vendors, hospital personnel and consultants. Assists/trains physicians and clinical staff using PACS applications. Additional duties include but are not limited to monitoring system performance and applicable interfaces. Communication to users and management are essential.
- Qualifications:
- Education & Training:
Minimum of Associates degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science or other computer related field, or graduate of an Accredited Radiologic Technology Program. Experience may be considered in lieu of education as approved by CIO.
- Experience:
Two (2) years Information Technology experience working with Information Technologies or Digital Imaging Systems. Hands-on software troubleshooting experience OR two (2) year experience in multiple areas of imaging services (Radiology). Education may be considered in lieu of experience as approved by CIO.
- Required Certification/Registration/Licensure:
Current ARRT registration if graduate in Radiology field.

Ability to communicate to all levels of customers including vendors, physicians and hospital staff. Knowledge of interfaces. Knowledge of application implementation, design, or development. Superior goal accomplishment skills; strong assertiveness skills, ability to manage conflict in a variety of situations; strong customer service orientation; superior organizational skills; strong communication and interpersonal skills; demonstrated ability to interact with multidisciplinary teams; demonstrated facilitation/training skills; proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, email, intranet, and other systems.
