The Ashford Housing Authority is seeking an experienced, highly motivated, and highly organized administrative assistant. This position is responsible for assisting management for the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) regulated public housing properties at Ashford Housing Authority and other properties remotely if needed.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Great customer service skills
- Ability to work in excel and create spread sheets when needed.
- Answering phones in a professional manner
- Taking clear and complete messages
- Greeting tenants and applicants with a positive outlook
- Previous experience in Property management is beneficial but not required.
EXPERIENCE
- Previous experience in an administrative role preferred
- Proficient in using phone systems, office management software, and computerized systems
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Customer service-oriented mindset with the ability to interact professionally with clients and colleagues
