Duties and responsibilities include:
* Collecting information from customers and clients
* Entering data into the central database
* Cataloguing the data with appropriate tags for ease of reference
* Retrieving data as requested
* Maintaining and updating the database system as necessary
* Generating periodic reports
For a candidate to fulfil their responsibilities effectively as a Data Entry Clerk, they need to have the following prerequisite skills and qualifications:
* Attention to detail
* Ability to be trained to work in multiple database systems
* Working knowledge of spreadsheets and other word processing tools
* Strong ability to work quickly and accurately
* General administration skills
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* Great interpersonal and customer service skills
* Microsoft Excel
Previous experience in Data Entry, office administration, secretarial or related roles is beneficial but not required for a Data Entry Clerk position.
The role also requires a strong background in working with computers and dealing with large amounts of information.
Other valuable experience includes familiarity with database systems and Data Entry techniques. Data Entry Clerks with over two years of experience may also be suitable for more customer-facing responsibilities.
Salary $37,440- 41,683 per year.
