Secure Shredding and Recycling (SSR) is committed to protecting its clients’ confidential information through providing NAID-certified services such as shredding, record destruction, and e-Waste recycling. Due to the growing demand for our services, we are looking to add a new role of Administrative Assistant to our team.
The Administrative Assistant will be based in our Birmingham office and will be asked to perform a variety of administrative tasks. Mainly, he/she will be responsible for handling:
1. All of the billing activities of the company’s e-Waste services; and
2. Execute the company’s collection efforts across all markets and services.

Role and Responsibilities
- Undergo training on all relevant company software programs.
- Accurately and in a timely fashion generate and send customer invoices for all e-Waste services.
- Execute on a regular basis, collection efforts as outlined by the Chief Admin Officer.
- Accurately and comprehensively document all billing and collection efforts.
- Audit customer accounts as necessary.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Required skills and qualifications
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently so as to communicate effectively with customers, vendors and team members.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Some Administrative Assistant experience preferred.
- Possess these core competencies: positive and professional attitude, customer-focused, always do the right thing, commitment to teamwork.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when interacting with customers over the phone.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Outstanding attention-to-detail.
- Exceptional organization skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as multi-task when necessary.
- Proficiency in MS Office programs (Outlook and MS Excel, in particular).

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
