1. BSN, ADN, Diploma RN or higher nursing degree;
2. Two years of minimum direct patient care as RN;
3. Active, current unencumbered North Carolina Registered Nurse license;
4. Possess or have the willingness to obtain current American Heart Association Instructor Certification in Adult CPR.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES: 1. Manage and ensure proper documentation required by a North Carolina state-approved Nurse Aide Training Program;
2. Effectively communicate with a diverse student population in various teaching methods.
1. One year of experience in a long-term care facility or in providing care for the chronically ill;
2. Familiarity with local health care facilities;
3. Experience teaching adult learners.
