Teaches assigned online courses in Business Administration. Responsible for only the Business Administration classes within the program. Must collaborate with other Business Administration instructors to develop and revise curriculum as needed. POOLING APPLICANT NOTICE: This job posting is being used to capture a pool of qualified adjunct faculty candidates for the upcoming semester(s). Adjunct faculty are part-time, non-salaried faculty who are paid for each class taught and are hired on an as-needed basis. An adjunct job posting does not imply an open position exists at this time. The need for adjunct faculty changes from semester to semester and should be considered temporary in nature. Applications for an adjunct position will remain active for one (1) year and will be evaluated only when a specific need occurs.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Provide classroom and laboratory instruction for students in an online instructional settingInstruct day, evening, and online sections as needed for the program and studentsOrganize a semester course following departmental guidelinesCreate course materials (course outlines, syllabi, lesson plans, tests, handouts, lectures, slides, assignments, rubrics, models, classroom schedule activities, group work)Determine a fair grading systemDevelop, prepare and grade assignments identified to evaluate student performance and based on student learning outcomes and competenciesSet up materials in Moodle (grade book, tests, lectures)Set up policies compliant with departmental and school regulations and requirementsHold student conferences as needed and requiredMaintain accurate records of student attendance and performance; maintain other records and data bases according to program needs and/or accreditation requirements. Record attendance in Self-ServiceContact students who are absent from classComplete FTE and progress reports as requiredCorrespond with students, supervisor, and Chief Academic Officer and provide responses in a timely manner. Be accessible to supervisor and Chief Academic Officer by phone and email.Keep up with grades and attendance on a weekly basis. Submit grade and attendance reports as requiredOrganize and maintain a clean and efficient classroom and laboratory setting; model and instruct students on the importance of a clean and organized work environmentWork with students registered with Disabilities ServicesComplete all compulsory training in regards to FERPA, Title IX, and Campus SafetyRespond to student issues professionally and report unresolved issues or classroom incidents to the immediate supervisorAdhere to all division and campus policies and procedures
