RESPONSIBILITIES: Seeking energetic and engaging Adjunct Faculty to teach High School Equivalency courses. The incumbent will provide classroom instruction to students who seek a high school diploma, preparing the student to take and pass the High School Equivalency Exam. High School Equivalency courses include Reading, Writing, Math, Science, Social Studies, and Test Prep. Successful candidates must demonstrate sensitivity to the needs of a diverse population and have the ability to work effectively with students who have barriers to employment. Classes may be offered days or evenings.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a minimum of a Master's Degree in English or Mathematics or a related field and 1 year of practical experience. Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication and presentation skills are required. The ability to establish a rapport with students and maintain an environment that supports learning and promotes student retention, experience teaching remotely, and experience using an LMS and Google Classrooms are also required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience teaching adult learners and at-risk populations strongly preferred. Highly organized and detail-oriented candidates also preferred.

HOURLY RATE OF PAY: The hourly rate of pay is $82.57. No benefits. This position is fully grant funded.
