Job Description:
The Department of Psychology at York College of Pennsylvania is seeking to expand our pool of adjunct instructors for elective courses. We are currently seeking instructors with expertise in specialty areas not currently covered by our existing faculty (e.g., Sports Psychology, Health Psychology, Human Factors/Engineering Psychology). Although in-person instruction is preferred, remote instruction will be considered if candidates successfully complete the necessary on-campus training and course development process.
Individuals will plan and guide the learning processes for students toward the achievement of curricular goals and objectives as identified and documented in course outline materials. Other responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
Essential Functions
The candidate should have an advanced degree (Doctoral or Masters) in Psychology or a closely related field (with requisite coursework in psychology or area of specialization). The successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in teaching undergraduate psychology courses. Candidates seeking online instruction opportunities will also demonstrate prior evidence of success in this instructional modality.
