Job Description and Duties:
This position will be responsible for day-to-day organizing, recruiting, training, guidance, and direction. Activities related to entertainment, activities coordination, assist volunteers, instructors, and contractors in facilitating and additional programs that benefit the community.
Responsible for all communications to the residents related to the Corporation's business as needed.
Standardizing and coordinating all communication channels within the community and recommending/implementing efficiencies.
When required, attend community functions after hours.
Plan, organize, implement and supervise fun recreational activities that utilize existing amenities.
Enhance current or develop online Activities and Events Calendar reflecting all social Activities and events.
Develop social media channels for timely communications (daily/weekly).
Develop reports for effectiveness and feedback for continuous improvements on community activities.
Assist in development of the Activities and Events budget.
Monitor, adjust and manage fiscal activities with regards to special events and recreation programs.
Scheduling facility rentals and collecting monies for deposits, registrations or reservations. Responsible for collecting and recording receipts.
Communication with other employees, other departments and the residents, to assure effective maintenance and operation of programs and facilities.
Manage and edit the community monthly informational magazine.
Ensure the community website is updated regularly.
Design and send group emails on behalf of the Corporation as a form of communication.
Qualifications:
Excellence in interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive community relationships.
Experience with special event planing, basic operational procedures for events from start to finish.
Knowledge of recreational activities suitable for all ages and abilities.
Ability and willingness to create new programs and special events and promote to the community.
Ability to multitask to handle competing priorities and master the principles of customer service and public relations. Must be engaging, develop relationships and have the ability to influence others to execute programs and events.
Independent thinker with ability to solve problems and address concerns.
Ability to contribute to the accomplishment of community goals, objectives and activities while maintaining effective working relationships.
Proficient with standard office computer equipment and software applications, including MS Office, event scheduling and interactive online calendar management.
Ability to follow and demonstrate oral instructions.
Excellent written and oral communications skills and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
Ability to maintain basic records, reports data collection and event budgeting.
Editorial skills and the ability to use publishing software.
Knowledge of web development and digital skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
