We are looking for an Accounts Receivable specialist with a background in paralegal and compliance. We are looking for a candidate who is open to stay and grow with us. This position will have Hybrid option after training has been completed.
SUMMARY:
The Contact and Compliance Analyst / AR Specialist will provide support to the Accounts Receivable Leadership and Sales Executives in the review and risk assessment of customer terms and conditions provisions.
The Specialist/Analyst will provide appropriate stakeholders with suggested modifications, modify documents, and maintain internal shared file system for these documents.
The Specialist/Analyst will monitor and advise internal stakeholders relating to various specialized requests involving DBE/MBE projects and Non-Disclosure Agreements.
Specialist/Analyst will provide support to the Account Receivable team in duties related to customer billings and payments.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

-- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe Professional. Ability to work in various systems to update, maintain or extract documents and data.

-- Experience reviewing terms, conditions, and statements of work for areas of risk.
-- Bachelor's degree is required.
-- Ability to read and analyze legal documents.
-- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
-- Ability to work with cross-functional teams.
-- 2-4 years experience in a related field.
-- Paralegal Certificate or Paralegal experience preferred.
-- Basic understanding of the construction business.
-- Basic knowledge of Federal contracting principles and terminology (optional)
-- Knowledge of mechanics lien laws in DC, MD, and VA (optional)
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively identify contractual problems and advise internal stakeholders on compromise positions and risks relative to purchase order terms and conditions.
-- Review and analyze contract documents to determine contractual obligations and risks.
-- Explain contract terminology to internal stakeholders in simple, everyday language.
-- Reviews and revises documents for executive-level reviews.
-- Manages redlines for customer and vendor terms and conditions and consults with outside legal counsel as needed.
-- Serves as the primary liaison with outside counsel on terms and conditions, where appropriate.
-- Reviews Non-Disclosure Agreements and advises stakeholders on a course of action based on company policies.
-- Monitor MBE RFQ and subsequent orders to ensure compliance with company policies.
-- Organizes and maintains document shared folder.
-- Maintains, documents, and improves current knowledge of relevant contractual procedures and practices.
-- Responds to legal-specific questions related to RFP/RFI bids/Orders and assist in responses.
-- Prepare legal documents for the Credit Manager and Assistant Credit Manager.
-- Research, identify, and resolve any billing issues by contacting the customer, customer service, or other appropriate departments to determine the source of the problem.
-- Accurately and timely, apply payments to customer accounts.
-- Communicate with customers to resolve remittance issues.
-- Conduct collection calls to assigned accounts with outstanding balances. Engage in collection management assignments as needed.
