OVERVIEW: The Accounts Receivable Generalist is responsible for daily postings and deposits of incoming payments. This position works closely with the legal team, clients, and other areas within Finance. The position reports directly to the Senior Billing and Collections Manager.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Daily postings and deposits of incoming payments ( ACH, Wires, and checks).
- Follow up with clients and legal teams to address payment issues and discrepancies.
- Respond timely to email inquiries.
- Work closely with the Payables team to process refunds.
- Maintain records of all cash receipt transactions.
- Perform ad hoc miscellaneous duties such as scanning, filing, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ years of experience performing financial duties.
- High School or GED required.
- Excellent organizational skills with an aptitude for prioritizing, multi-tasking and meeting deadlines.
- A strong customer service attitude, both with respect to external and internal clients
- Attention to detail and a sense of ownership.
- Ability to be gently assertive with respect to following up on outstanding information requests.
- Ability to work overtime when necessary.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
