ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE
OVERVIEW
The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for working in conjunction with the accounting department to ensure daily deposits are posted to the system in a timely, organized, and accurate manner. They will also be responsible for keeping up-to-date on daily deposits by not being more than two days behind on average for posting daily deposits.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Reconcile and research outstanding cash, 835, 3rd party posting, 3rd party aging, and private pay
- Balance bulk payments from all payor classes to patient accounts and 3rd parties
- Process credit card transactions once the money is in the bank
- Run reports for posting and reconciling payments and credit card charges
- Reconcile zero balance EOB’s - When insurance companies recoup/pay in bulk and no payment is received
- Note patient accounts when needed
- Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA
- Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
- Other duties as assigned by Department Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Framework LTC & General computer knowledge & 10-key Number Entry preferred
- Knowledge of Sage preferred
- Able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer knowledge skills required
- Basic math and analytical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook required

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

- May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, walk, crawl intermittently

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY
We provide qualifying full-time employees with 23 PTO (Paid Time Off) days annually. PTO is used for holidays, vacation, sick leave, and personal leave.
Please note we are a long-term care pharmacy open 24-hours, 7 days a week. And scheduled may change as determined by the needs of the business.
