Accounts Payable Specialist

Our client, a property management company in Stamford, CT, is seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team.

Job description

• Manage all day-to-day Accounts Payable functions for full portfolio of condominium associations (200+ properties) and TPG Corporate. Handle full cycle Accounts Payable processing thru AP platform, Strongroom, owned by AvidXchange.
• Receive incoming vendor invoices and verify accuracy, obtain appropriate supporting documentation and approvals prior to processing for payment thru AP platform.
• Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
• Monitor Accounts Payable system to ensure payments are up to date
• Accurately perform data entry and/or verify information with attention to detail
• Respond to all vendor inquiries about payment status
• Work with vendors and internal personnel to reconcile variances
• Request and review vendor statements
• Run month-end tasks to assist in monthly closing
• Assist CFO and Controller as needed for special projects

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years’ experience in Accounts Payable
• Associates Degree in Accounting a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, sound understanding of accounting principles

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 base. Actual compensation will be dependent upon the specific role, office location as well as the individual’s qualifications, experience, skills and certifications.
