OneLegacy, the non-profit organ and tissue recovery organization serving the seven counties of the greater Los Angeles area, has an immediate opening for a Full Time Accounts Payable Specialist in the Azusa office.
Position Description: The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for performing accounting and clerical tasks for the efficient processing, recording, and maintenance of Accounts Payable transactions.
Duties & Responsibilities:
Essential Job Functions:
1. Review all invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to payment
2. Prioritize invoices according to according to cash discount potential and payment terms
3. Review and verify invoices and check requests
4. Set invoices up for payment
5. Enter and upload invoices into system, ensuring proper recording of invoices according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
6. Audit and process credit card bills
7. Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
8. Prepare and perform check runs
9. Reconcile Accounts Payable transactions
10. Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly
11. 1099 maintenance
12. Respond to all vendor inquiries
13. Reconcile vendor statements, research
14. Assist in month end closing
15. Maintain files and documentation thouroughly and accurately, in accordance with
OneLegacy policy and accepted accounting practices
16. Provide supporting documentation for audits
17. Assist with other projects as needed
Secondary Job Functions:

1. Produce reports as needed or requested
2. Copy and distribute pertinent information to managers and/or staff
3. Attend meetings as required and participate on committees as directed
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred. A Bachelor’s degree may substitute for 4 years of work experience. A minimum of 5 years in Accounts Payable (A/P) or higher Finance & Accounting role preferred. A current California driver’s license, auto insurance based on California minimal insurance coverage standards and reliable automotive transportation is required. Qualified applicants must be able to successfully complete the OneLegacy application and background screening process.
Experience: A minimum of 5 years in Accounts Payable (A/P) or higher Finance & Accounting role preferred.
Certification/License: OneLegacy requires employees to maintain a current California driver’s license and current vehicle insurance based on California minimum insurance coverage standards.
Equipment: Reliable automotive transportation required.
Pay Range:
$23.04 - $28.50
