JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the Accounts Payable and administrative functions for the Fund Accounting team.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Accounts Payable:
- Responsible for processing all payment obligations of the entities within the institutional fund structures.
- Verify that invoices are valid by confirming the charges/services with appropriate individuals.
- Input invoices into Payscan and obtain necessary approvals.
- Review and ensure accuracy of reimbursement requests from management company before processing the payment.
- Maintain expense allocation for the various fund and co-investment entities and update as needed.
- Track and clear intercompany payables between the various fund and co-investment entities.
- Handle the required enrollment process for federal and state tax payments.
- Process and mail check payments.
- Coordinate the processing of payments via wire.
- Collect necessary information from new vendors to set up in Yardi (if applicable).
- Perform any other tasks associated with the Accounts Payable process.
- Administration:
- Prepare W-9 forms for fund entities and update as needed.
- Ensure completeness of formation and organization documents for fund and co-investment entities. Organize the documents in the network drive.
- Assist in the bank account opening process by providing requested documentation for the entities.
- Assist with the annual financial audit.
- Prepare and maintain any other schedules to assist in fund accounting.
- Perform any other administrative tasks requested by the Fund Accounting team.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1+ year of relevant accounting experience preferred.
- Basic knowledge of fund accounting preferred.
- Prior experience with automated accounting system required. Yardi experience preferred.
- Intermediate to expert MS Excel knowledge required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Light work – Sitting frequently for entire work shift. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 or more pounds rarely, and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to reach, lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Frequent use of computer keyboard (fingering) and computer mouse. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
