We are currently seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our Accounting department. This part-time position entails 20 hours per week and offers flexible scheduling options within the Monday to Friday timeframe, from 8am to 5pm, allowing the candidate to determine the hours that best suit their needs.

• This position requires on-site work at our Pembroke, NH office. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide relocation assistance at this time. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate at their own expense.

ACCOUNTS PAYABLE RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES:
As an AP Clerk you will be responsible for recording Accounts Payable invoices for AG Supermarket Corporate Stores in a timely, accurate manner. The person in this position also ensures AG Supermarkets’ sales reports are recorded in a timely and accurate manner.

• Responsible for paying and keeping records of all invoices, scheduling, and preparing checks.
• Reviews invoices and assigns proper account distribution prior to entry. Controls expenses by receiving, processing, verifying, and reconciling invoices.
• Monitors discount opportunities, verifies W-9 forms are received, resolves purchase order, contract, invoice, or payment discrepancies and documentation.
• Stays up to date on cyber security/phone/email threats as it relates to AP vendor issues/concerns.
• Ensures credit is received for outstanding memos.
• Coordinate / reconcile cross dock and central bill invoicing activity for AG Supermarkets.
• Performs data entry and balances work daily.
• Maintains all Accounts Payable reports, spreadsheets, and files.
• Sort, file, and distribute throughout the department various correspondence, received via truck mail.
• May perform other duties as assigned or required to meet business needs.

ESSENTIAL CLERICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

• Associates Degree plus 1 or more years of Accounts Payable experience.
• Proficiency in the use of Microsoft software applications such as: spreadsheets, databases and word processing.
• Knowledge of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules composition and grammar.
• Ability to analyze data, mathematical reasoning, problem solving, attention to detail.
• Written and oral expression and comprehension.
• Knowledge of arithmetic and algebra.
• Understanding of vendor terms and policies.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT:

• Work is normally performed in a typical interior office work environment.
• Individual needs to be able to move a pallet, push a cart with approximately 20 lbs. on it and perform basic filing requirements (bending, standing, lifting of boxes).
• No or very limited exposure to physical risk.
