Accounts Payable Clerk

Robert Half is seeking an Accounts Payable clerk for a growing company in the manufacturing industry. The Accounts Payable clerk must have a strong Accounts Payable background, the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and have fast & accurate Data Entry skills. This is a 6-month contract term. In this role, you will process up to 400 invoices a week, freight invoice postings, reconciling vendor statements, and participate in special projects as required. Proficiency in SAP is preferred, not required.

The Accounts Payable Clerks duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Responsibilities:

1. Processing a high volume of AP invoices weekly.

2. Posting freight invoices and ensuring they are accurate and paid on time.

3. Assist in reconciling vendor statements monthly or when required.

4. Provide support for special projects as delegated by management.

5. Troubleshoot any vendor issues and investigate discrepancies.

6. Maintain effective communication with vendors and internal departments.

Requirements:

1. Previous experience in a high volume, full-cycle AP role.

2. Strong data entry skills with speed and precision.

3. Proficient in using SAP and Excel is preferred, not required.

4. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.

5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

6. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
