Bienvivir All-Inclusive Senior Health (“Bienvivir”) is a community-based, patient-centered, comprehensive health care delivery system that advocates and promotes quality of life, optimum independence, dignity, and choices in a nurturing environment for frail seniors. Since 1987, Bienvivir has served the frail seniors of El Paso, Texas through the provision of the Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (“PACE”).
PACE is a unique managed care benefit for frail seniors (referred to as participants) age 55 and older who are certified by the state as needing nursing home level care and who reside in a PACE service area. PACE programs coordinate and provide comprehensive medical and support services so that participants can remain independent and stay in their homes for as long as safely possible.

Bienvivir is currently accepting applications for the following position:
ACCOUNTS PAYABLE CLERK
The A/P clerk is primarily responsible for the processing of all ACCOUNTS PAYABLE. He/she performs complex clerical work, entry-level bookkeeping and accounting work under the general supervision of the Accountant.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains confidentiality of all financial information.
- Prepares and processes all check requests, travel advances, ACCOUNTS PAYABLE invoices, and any other ACCOUNTS PAYABLE activity on a timely basis.
- Codes invoices to the appropriate trial balance account and routes to Accountant for approval. Prepares work sheets necessary for the coding of certain expenses.
- Files and maintains clerical records and reports pertinent to A/P operations.
- Maintains up-to-date cash balance on ACCOUNTS PAYABLE operating account and coordinates with Accountant to ensure adequate account balance.
- Prepares monthly statistical/utilization reports to be used by Administration.
- Prepares schedules and/or reports for use in preparing financial reports as requested by Accountant.
- Assists in fiscal-year closing for outside auditors.
- Assists Accountant with other duties and performs related work as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Graduate of a standard senior high school, including or supplemented by training in bookkeeping and accounting and two years experience in a responsible bookkeeping/accounting position; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
- Ability to plan, organize and work independently without close supervision. Ability to work under stress, and maintain effective working relationship with staff.
- Skill/knowledge to file and type accurately. Knowledge of general bookkeeping practices/procedures. Proficient in operation of calculator (10 key by touch) and general office equipment; and experience with computers preferred.
