Accounting/Finance - Accounting Assistant 3

PGS Worldwide is actively seeking a skilled Accounting Assistant to support ongoing projects for an Aerospace and Defense leader in Irving, TX. This is an initial 12-month contract-to-hire opportunity, and I will respond immediately to all qualified candidates.
Job Description:
• The ability to clearly and professionally communicate related accounting policies and procedures
• The ability to multitask and work independently to meet service delivery agreements
• Research and respond to audit requests
• Support the A/P analysts by assisting with research, analysis and their internal customer inquiries
• Customer Service responding to Supplier and internal inquiries
• Provide analytical support by providing reports and analysis to management on a regular basis
• Complete special projects as assigned
Requirements:
• High School and 3 - 5 years equivalent experience. Accounts payable customer service experience is a must
• Intermediate skills in Excel and thorough knowledge of other Microsoft applications including Word and Outlook
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong attention to detail and accounting orientation, and the ability to multi-task and manage time
Desired:
• Knowledge of GAAP; CAS; FAR as well as Corporate Accounting policies and procedures; Advance Excel skills;
