POSITION SUMMARYAs an Accounting Specialist you will be responsible for coordinating the fiscal operation and activities of an assigned accounting function area.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Monitors the financial records of an assigned accounting area
• Consults with reporting manager on fiscal administration and budget procedures
• Reconciles department reports for assigned accounting area
• Prepares periodic financial statements and reports for internal use
• Monitor and track job costs/expense
• Manage account payables and receivables for assigned accounting area
• Knowledge of payroll process
• Manage preparation for Month end/Year end close
• Participate in discussions for efficiency in accounting
• Other tasks may be assigned as necessary

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

• Two years or more experience in accounting or related field preferred
• Job Costing experience preferred
• QuickBooks, Netsuite, JobBoss experience preferred
• Self-starter and team player
• Strong mathematical skills and analytical skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Proven ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to read and analyze financial reports

Work Environment

The position is in an office environment located within a warehouse, with controlled climate settings, and low noise. The employee may frequently visit the production floor, with exposure to seasonal climates, odor, dust, and high noise levels.
