Job Summary

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Accounting:
- Full charge accountant including accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including posting all to general ledger.
- Managing receipt and coding of all invoices, and process payments as needed
- Review prior day's bank activities, update cash balances, and send to President.
- Month-end closing activities.
- Learn all accounting aspects of the agency management financial reporting systems.
- Provide information to outside CPA to prepare yearend tax returns and reviewed financial statement
Carrier Payables:
- Transact carrier and broker invoices in Applied EPIC (software).
- Maintain carrier payables excel worksheet.
- Work with team to determine payables to hold or pay based on client and due dates.
- Process payments to carriers and brokers on a weekly basis or as needed (check or online).
- Reconcile payable reports to general ledger.
Operating Payables:
- Process rents, payroll, group insurance premium and vendor payables in Applied EPIC software via
- check or ACH.
- Reconcile payable reports to general ledger.
Accounts Receivable:
- Deposit client checks daily via remote desktop deposit and transact receipts in EPIC.
- Transact Policy deposits, ACH deposits from premium finance companies, and incoming wire transfers from clients in EPIC.
- Update A/R , reconcile to general ledger, and distribute individual data to each Account Manager on a weekly basis.
- Run and maintain revenue reports monthly and send to leadership team

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
- 5+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience.
- Prior AP/AR experience
- PC proficiency, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- High School Diploma (or equivalent).
