The Business Accounting team within the Controllers Group is seeking an Individual Contributor (IC) Manager to own planning the day-to-day functions related to sales accounting for unowned inventory & sales reserve. This individual should be highly motivated, have outstanding organization skills, be an excellent partner for various business-facing teams, and be able to influence their direct team through dotted-line leadership. This individual will be responsible for:
A day in the life...
Marketplace/Unowned Inventory:
Account for $500M+ of sales generated through our unowned inventory channel.
Ensure the accuracy and compliance of revenue-related financial transactions in accordance with ASC606.
Detailed monitoring/oversight of sales transactions between 3rd party marketplace platform and company’s accounts.
Sales Return Reserve :
Calculate future expected returns of purchased products
Develop trend analysis of returns to inform current return rates by channel (stores & digital)
Partner with business to stay abreast of customer buying and return behavior as it impacts the reserve.
General:
Perform month-end, quarterly and annual closing activities in compliance with GAAP and Company accounting policies, including the preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, ad hoc analysis and financial reporting
Continuous improvement mindset and recommends improvements to systems, processes and policies
Deliver proactive, comprehensive, and relevant analysis, insights, and recommendations taking intoconsideration implications to the business and customer by collaborating across Finance and the organization
Perform ad-hoc accounting projects as directed
You own this if you have / are...
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of US GAAP
Ability to influence via dotted-line relationship with team members
Strong team player, is an owner, and ultimately focused on delivering results with high standards.
Strengths in problem solving, issue-resolution, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
Strong organization skills with an emphasis on prioritization in a dynamic environment
Effective communication (oral & written) across the company with management, auditors and other depts.
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
CPA accreditation
Experience with Oracle General Ledger

Pay Range Details
The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.
California: $80,000 - $165,000, Colorado: $80,000 - $132,000, Connecticut: $80,000 - $132,000, Hawaii: $80,000 - $132,000, Nevada: $80,000 - $132,000, New York: $80,000 - $165,000, Rhode Island: $80,000 - $132,000, Washington: $80,000 - $165,000 This position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
