JOB SUMMARY:
The Accounting Manager plays a crucial role in planning, directing, and executing accounting activities within the department. Reporting directly to the Controller, this position involves supervising a team of accountants across various departments and ensuring adherence to organizational mission.
DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, AND EXPECTATIONS:
- Managing the accounting staff responsible for financial reporting, billing, and collections.
- Assisting in recruiting, hiring, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Coordinating training programs for new and current staff.
- Collaborating with supervisors to develop policies and procedures.
- Establishing internal controls and guidelines for accounting transactions and budget preparation.
- Overseeing preparation of business activity reports, financial forecasts, and annual budgets.
- Producing periodic financial reports and ensuring compliance with accounting principles.
- Handling tax planning and filing annual corporate tax returns.
- Auditing accounts for compliance with regulations and coordinating with external auditors.
- Providing financial analysis and recommendations to management.
- Ensuring compliance with government requirements.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or business administration required.
- Five or more years of related experience required.
- Certified Public Accountant designation preferred.
