ACCOUNTING MANAGER (Lab Services, Medical Tech and SaaS)

Role Overview of the Accounting Manager

Reporting to the COO and CFO, the Accounting Manager will be responsible for managing the accounting and record-keeping activities of both companies, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, timely preparation and filing of state and sales taxes, compliance with accounting principles and efficient accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, experience in the life sciences, Medical Tech and/or SaaS as well as have excellent organizational and communication skills.

Primary Responsibilities of the Accounting Manager:

· Monthly Close – Income Statement and Balance, all accounts reconciled.

· Manage/handle month-end activities (prepare JEs and AJEs revenue and expense recognition, accrual management, deferrals, CAPEX, etc.)

· Responsible for supporting day-to-day financial operations such as billing and expense processing (vendor invoices, check requests, credit cards (American Express, etc.)

· Reconcile monthly income with Salesforce

· Monthly State Sales tax reporting and filing

· Bank Reconciliations

· A/R processing, tracking and collections

· Research and resolve any accounting and/or documentation problems and discrepancies.

· Determines and ensures accuracy of submitted financial data.

· Prepare additional reporting and analysis as required by senior management.

· Effective communication with Shareholders, CFO and senior management.

· Ad Hoc tasks as assigned.

Qualifications of the Accounting Manager:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA preferred).

· Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.

· Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal controls.

· Have or develop knowledge and experience with Quickbooks, Bill.com, Salesforce, ADP and Sharepoint.

· Experience in the life sciences or Medical Technology industry is highly desirable.

· Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

· Strong collaboration skills to effectively work with internal and external teams to effectively design solutions that meet the business needs

· Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment

· Effective interpersonal skills (written, and oral) and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff, including executive leadership

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
