This role will service auto claims, including 1st/3rd party Physical Damage including total loss, in the US and its territories, with emphasis in New York. We are a remote working environment and emphasize work life balance.

Auto Physical Damage “APD” Claims Adjuster – Commercial Lines

What you’ll be doing:

• Investigate losses and determine coverage while providing superior customer service.

• Set timely, adequate reserves in compliance with the clients reserving philosophy and methodology

• Make recommendations for settlement amount, then negotiate/resolve claims throughout the life of the claim including supplements

• Recommends referral to SIU where appropriate and may assist the SIU in their investigation and settling of the claim.

• Identify opportunities for recovery (Subrogation/ Salvage) and investigates and pursues accordingly

• Express positive expectations of others and speak to team members in positive terms, work to becoming a resource to other team members

• Operate process and ensure complete adherence to defined Service Level Agreements with our clients.

• Grow and develop skills under our enhanced training program.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Preferred BA/BS degree or ICAR certification, working towards attaining CPCU, AIC, PCLS, RPA, CGA, and other relevant Insurance designations.

• Individual Independent State Adjuster licenses preferred, especially in New York. Ability to obtain proper licensing as required within 60 days of hire.

• 4+ years of P&C Insurance experience specializing in adjusting auto claims from low to moderate complexity

• Good written & verbal communication

• Familiarity with estimating platforms for material damage claims.

• Ability to work in a high production environment utilizing various technology solutions to handle claims virtually

• Good analytical reasoning with ability to make autonomous decisions.
