RESPONSIBILITIES
- Primary focus is on tax preparation, modeling and navigating process
- Prepare financial statements
- Assemble audit packages
- Conduct month-end and year-end close activities
- Post standard and non-standard journal entries, with emphasis on simplifying or eliminating entries and improving processes
- Support annual internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules, and financial statements
- Responsible for preparing consolidated accounts and investor reporting for investment funds
- Help define, document, and execute proper internal controls for accounting functions
- Perform monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing procedures and prepare respective financial reports, including reconciliations of various G/L accounts
- Responsible for appropriate month- and quarter-end accruals
- Perform financial analysis and provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting
- Recommend improvements to current accounting processes to enhance and streamline the department
- Prepare documentation and other necessary information as required for completion of financial audits
- Assist with special projects and ad-hoc requests, as necessary
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA a plus
- 6+ years of public accounting or related experience
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, regulatory reporting requirements, account analysis, and accounting policy
- Large ERP system experience (we use NetSuite) as well as advanced ability in Excel
- Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, iOS, Google Workspace a plus
- Superior written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively both individually and as a team
- Quick learner and problem solver when faced with new issues or challenges
- A proactive, self-directed approach with the ability to multi-task and a high sense of urgency
- Fosters teamwork across the organization with excellent communication skills
- Ability to build partnerships and work in a collaborative environment
- Passion for driving and delivering results and delivering constructive change
- Experience working at an organization with an entrepreneurial mindset
