Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles and standards.
Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and profitability analysis, to provide insights.
Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal control procedures to safeguard company assets, ensure the accuracy of financial records, and comply with relevant regulations.
Team Management: Supervise and provide guidance to the accounting team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluations. Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Audit and Compliance: Coordinate and oversee internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and legal requirements. Address audit findings and implement corrective actions.
Financial Systems and Processes: Evaluate and improve financial systems, processes, and procedures to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and data integrity.
Financial Projects: Lead or participate in financial projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process improvements, providing financial expertise and guidance.
Payroll: Ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is preferred, not required.
Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar role, preferably in a professional services or construction industry.
Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.
Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy, ensuring the integrity of financial information.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
Compensation
$92,600.00 - $146,200.00
The expected compensation range for this position is displayed in accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act and California's SB 1162. The final agreed-upon compensation is based on a number of factors, including but not limited to: individual education, qualifications, skills, prior work experience, competencies, and geographic work location. The total annual compensation package may consist of a base salary and eligibility to participate, after a qualifying period, in our performance and discretionary incentive bonus program(s).
