We are currently recruiting for a Housing Choice Voucher Supervisor to join our team who values our agency's focus and organizational excellence.

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) Supervisor provides overall leadership and direction to the Housing Choice Voucher Specialists. The HCV Supervisor plans, directs, and coordinates activities to ensure compliance with policies and regulatory standards. Works closely with and receives oversight from the Housing Choice Voucher Administrator.

The Housing Choice Voucher Supervisor:

• Supervises the work of the HCV Program staff including assigning, planning, reviewing work, evaluating work performance, coordinating activities, maintaining, developing, and adhering to HUD regulations and MWHS policies.
• Assists with the development of and implementation of policies, procedures, HCV Administrative Plan, forms letters and other documents.
• Responsible for managing and understanding data in data systems used by HCV Program operations including PIC, VMS and the Two -Year Forecasting Tool, Yardi and SharePoint.
• Evaluates and interprets and stays abreast of HUD HCV, Fair Housing regulations and other program guidelines.
• Performs HCV processing elements as needed and or when there are staff vacancies. Processing elements include scheduling meetings, conducting briefings, calculating rents, communicating with landlords and tenants, negotiating rents and other functions.
• Oversee Housing Quality Standards Inspector and Inspections to ensure compliance with HUD regulations.
• Monitors HCV program, HCV program files and HQS Inspections, Rent Reasonableness, and other records to ensure that files are secured and in compliance with HUD regulations and MWHS standards.
• Oversee Informal Hearings, Grievance Hearings and recommend appropriate resolutions to the Assisted Housing Administrator.
• Monitor and maintain high customer satisfaction and occupancy rates.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

The Candidate:

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, Public Administration, Management, Social Sciences, or related field preferred.

• Three years' experience in Public Housing or Section 8 or Housing Choice Vouchers. Two years/ supervisory experience or demonstrated ability to present information to other employees in a clear an understandable manner.

• Housing Choice Voucher certification or ability to obtain certification within one year after appointment.

• Valid driver's license and good driving record
