Janitorial & Facility Management Firm seeking a Bookkeeper/HR Clerk for to handle accounting, HR and office duties.
Work Schedule
Part Time Monday- Friday 9am-2pm ( IN OFFICE - THIS POSITION IS NOT REMOTE)
Bookkeeper/HR Clerk will perform a variety of accounting, bookkeeping,financial tasks, office mgmt task. Responsibilities include keeping financial records updated,preparing reports and reconciling bank statements. You will run accounting software programs to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers and receipts. Ultimately, will ensure that the company’s daily accounting functions run accurately and effectively with direction from Financial Controller. Will also be responsible for processing payroll for the company and work to handle minor HR and office mgmt tasks. This position reports to our Controller.

Detailed Responsibilities
- Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department
- Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting documents and records
- Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings and statements
- Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
- Daily enter key data of financial transactions in database
- Provide assistance and support to company personnel
- Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
- Inform management and compile reports/summaries on activity areas
- Function in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable laws
- Constantly update job knowledge
- Process payroll
- Coordinate w/ HR outsourcing company to handle concerns and requests
- Research problem invoices, interfaces with vendors, customer service team, and other appropriate staff to reconcile
- Assists with month-end close and runs monthly reports as require
- Prepares monthly banks and vendors reconciliations
- Prepares and posts deposits, balances deposits on bank statements
- Prepares checks and invoices as needed and reviews for accuracy.
- Invoice and prepare small orders for shipping on daily basis
- Performs general clerical duties including but not limited to filing, photocopying, faxing, typing, and mailing.
- Assists with preparation of 1099s as needed.
- Assists with special accounting projects as needed.
- Sorts and distributes internal and external mail.
- Minor HR Duties to include job posting, interview scheduling. completing employee requests, adding new employees, onboarding, preparing and drafting employee memos, and scheduling employee reviews. Payroll Processing for 20 or less employees.
- Office Mgmt duties such as negotiating office vendor contracts, ordering office supplies, managing interoffice projects etc.
Skills
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk
