As an Accounting Clerkyou will report to the Payroll Managerwhile working with others throughout the organization to support all aspects of the accounting team.
This full–time, seasonal position (April – November) will be critical in supporting the accounting team in the accurate processing of payroll and financial transactions and providing administrative support as needed throughout the construction season.
Essential Duties & Position Responsibilities:
Payroll Expenses and Administrative Support:
- Receive, process, audit and track payroll for temporary employment agencies.
- Support payroll in auditing pay rates to ensure accuracy.
- Produce, assemble, and mail all certified payroll reports for Duininck, Inc. on prevailing wage projects.
- Receive, process, audit and track all certified payroll reports for all subcontractors and third party trucking companies working on prevailing wage projects.
- Assist in payroll entry and compilation of paystubs weekly.
- Enter and process all company credit card transactions.
- Process and verify the credit card transactions against receipts and report the expenses to departmental managers for approval.
- Assist in the processing of invoices and vendor checks daily.
- Receive and verify invoices for products using a purchase order system.
- General office duties including picking up the mail, filing, ordering office supplies.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Associate degree or equivalent of work experience.
- Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) is preferred, not required.
- Encompass strong business and financial acumen, data analysis, and analytical skills
- Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills
- Self-starter with a proactive approach who can adapt easily to a fast-paced environment
- Effective multitasking while remaining detail oriented.
- Ability to work independently as well as with a team of professionals.
