Accounting Clerk

Cook Out is one of the fastest growing companies in the QSR business. We are experiencing record growth and are looking for hard working individuals to join our team. We are seeking skilled Accounting Clerks to perform a variety of accounting, payroll, and financial tasks. Accounting Clerk responsibilities include providing administrative support, keeping employee/financial records updated, and reconciling bank statements. You will run an accounting software program to process business transactions, like payroll, accounts payable, and general journal entries. A successful Accounting Clerk should be familiar with all accounting procedures and have a flair for detail. Ultimately, a successful Accounting Clerk will ensure that daily accounting and payroll functions are ran accurately and effectively.

Responsibilities

• Accounts payable
• Process weekly and bi-weekly payroll
• Type accurately, prepare and maintain accounting and employee records
• General ledger posting
• Reconcile accounts in a timely manner
• Prepare monthly financials
• Daily data entry of key financial transactions
• Research, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepancies
• Provide administrative support and assistance to management
• Function in accordance with established standards and procedures
• Constantly update job knowledge

Skills and Qualifications

• Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounting and/or Payroll Clerk
• Familiarity with bookkeeping and accounting procedures
• Familiarity with payroll taxes, process, and garnishments
• Competency in MS office (word and excel)
• Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
• Ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Aptitude for numbers
• Data entry and word processing skills
• Ability to prioritize and complete task based on business needs
• Well organized
• High school Diploma

Desired

• Associate’s degree or higher
• Experience with Peachtree (Sage50)

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
