Accounting Clerk

Duties and Qualifications:

· 2-year college, preferred

· Accounting: 1 year, preferred

· Bilingual: English and Spanish, preferred

· QuickBooks Enterprise, preferred.

Essential duties and responsibilities:

Full Job Description:

· Accounting duties include accounts receivable and accounts payable activities.

· Process cash receipts daily.

· Maintain accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.

· Post invoices and verify vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions, resolving discrepancies.

· Prepare accounts for payments and verify data in system.

· Support with vendor payments.

· Manage any recurring payments and schedule accordingly.

· Communicate with external vendors or customers to resolve discrepancies or disputes.

· Maintain updated vendor files and records.

· Assist in monthly closings.

· Must be willing to function as a member of a team with a positive attitude and be willing to help others, as necessary.

· Self-starter who can work both independently and with a team.

· Normally work 40 hours and support with end of the month and other dates, as required.

· Must be willing to work overtime when needed.

· Contact customers with overdue accounts and attempt to collect.

· Must have excellent communication and time management skills.
