Position Overview
The successful candidate needs to possess proficient internet, Microsoft Office/Excel, writing and interpersonal communication skills. Attention to detail and accuracy are a must.
Reports to: Controller
Duties and Responsibilities*
- Provide accounting support to the accounting department.
- Assist with data entry of accounts receivable and payable transactions.
- Review job costing entries and prepare reconciliations.
- Assist accounting with special projects.
- Reconcile credit card transactions.
- Receive customer payments, retrieve and process incoming mail.
- Handle AR collections and maintain accurate records of communication with clients.
- Assist with general office duties including making copies, scanning documents, and mailing.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations.
- Perform other duties as directed.

Qualifications
- Associate degree or relevant certification is a plus.
- Proven accounting experience, preferably as an Accounts receivable clerk or Accounts payable clerk
- Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures
- Competency in MS Office, and QuickBooks
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and financial reports
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers
- Ability to work independently and work cooperatively with others.
