Overview
Axia International seeks part-time or full-time candidates for our Accounting Associate position. Ideal candidates have a passion for serving others, demonstrated integrity and trustworthiness, and a desire to develop full-cycle accounting, financial reporting, process, and control skills. Additionally, candidates should be able to work 20 hours or more, plus enjoy working in an office environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the accounting and financial reporting effort for multiple clients, including the monthly close process and financial statement preparation
- Help ensure an effective control environment
- Assist the client's business performance reporting and decision making, which includes providing meaningful variance analysis versus plan and critical driver / impact assessment of results
- Contribute to the client's periodic planning and budgeting process
- Support third-party audits or reviews of the client's financial statements, as well as tax return preparation and other required tax filings
- Assist with client's other special projects as may be required
Qualifications
- High integrity, enthusiastic, and passionate, able to build positive relationships
- Strong organization, time management, and communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office products, especially Excel
- BSc or BA in accounting, finance or related is a plus
- International or non-profit experience is a plus
Salary
$25 - $35 per hour
