The Accounting Associate’s contributions help in budgeting as they provide the necessary inputs for forecasting financial performance. They also play a crucial role in internal audits, regulatory compliance, and maintaining an adequate system of internal controls.

 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 As an Accounting Associate, you will primarily be responsible for providing support for the day-to-day accounting activities of the organization. Your main responsibilities will include:

• Assisting in the preparation of financial reports
• Recording and maintaining financial transactions
• Performing reconciliations of general ledger accounts
• Contacting customers for payment inquiries
• Assisting in the filing of tax returns, tax payments to states
• Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules
• Running and reviewing various financial reports
• Communicating with vendors and clients regarding financial transactions

Key Responsibilities An Accounting Associate plays an essential role in the financial management of an organization. Some of their key responsibilities include the following:

Accounts Receivable management responsible for managing the accounts receivable department within an organization. This involves tracking and collecting payments from customers, reconciling customer accounts, and resolving any billing discrepancies. This requires excellent communication and organizational skills.

General ledger(s) maintenance maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger accounts. This involves recording transactions accurately, reconciling accounts, and ensuring that financial statements are accurate. Strong understanding of accounting principles and be highly detail-oriented.

Financial data analysis and reporting must be able to analyze financial data and generate reports for management. This involves interpreting financial statements, analyzing trends, and presenting data in a clear and concise manner. must have strong analytical skills and be proficient in the use of financial software tools.

Reconciliation of accounts responsible for reconciling accounts on a regular basis. This involves comparing account balances against bank statements or other sources to ensure accuracy.  must have strong attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve discrepancies.

Accounting knowledge Having knowledge about accounting is one of the most critical skills required for an Accounting Associate. You should be well-versed in basic accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping processes to succeed in this role. You must understand how to use accounting software and apply your knowledge on the job. Your ability to interpret financial data and make recommendations will help you to anticipate potential issues and provide advice to management.

 QUALIFICATIONS

A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field.

In addition to educational qualifications, at least two years of experience in either public accounting or in a corporate accounting or financial management position.

Yunex Traffic follows a hybrid work structure where employees can work remotely for up to 50% of their scheduled time. Working collaboratively in the office allows for in-person group thinking and building on teamwork.
