We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented candidate with interest in accounting to join our team as a part-time employee. The ideal candidate will possess basic computer skills and demonstrate reliability in completing assigned tasks. This position will primarily involve tasks such as coding invoices, data entry, and other bookkeeping duties. This individual will also have the opportunity to gain experience in areas such as bank reconciliations and cash transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Code invoices and perform data entry accurately and efficiently.
- Assist with financial coding, taking the first steps under guidance.
- Utilize software such as Basware for invoice processing.
- Enter ACH payments information into the system.
- Support with account reconciliations and posting various types of invoices.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
- Maintain organized records of financial transactions.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Basic understanding of bookkeeping functions.
- Reliably able to commit to 10-15 hours per week.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications is a plus.
