Accounting Assistant- Cash Control

Sante Health System in Fresno, CA is looking to fill the full-time Accounting Assistant- Cash Controlposition, who will be responsible for assisting the Senior Accountant, Director, and VP in a variety of accounting related tasks.

• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Experience with personal computers and Microsoft office products (i.e., Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Previous accounting experience preferred.

• Knowledge of general accounting practices.
• Skill in computer applications and use of a calculator.
• Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Ability to examine documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Ability to work effectively with others.

1. Assists with the cash management including deposits, payments, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.
2. Acts as a liaison between accounting department and business office.
3. Responsible for understanding cash flow between practice management systems (i.e., Intergy and NextGen) and general ledger.
4. Responsible for directing cash between practice management systems, general ledger, and our member clients.
5. Responsible for identifying overall overages and shortages and to determine strategies to minimize.
6. Responsible for identifying credit card fees and the respective allocation between clients.
7. Manages the ordering of all banking supplies and dissemination to member clients.
8. Assists with the escheat reporting process.
9. Coordinates with practice managers for the banking set up for all new clients.
10. Prepares ad hoc reports and projects.
11. Performs various accounting functions, such as assisting with journal entries, cash receipts, and bank reconciliations.
12. Assists with monthly invoicing for all clients and follow-up as necessary.
13. Prepares cash reconciliations for clients as needed.
14. Processes accounts payable for clients.
15. Maintain strictest confidentiality.
