Waldorf Astoria is looking for a Accounting Analyst to join the team at this gorgeous Atlanta property!
Located in one of Atlanta's most prestigious neighborhoods, this Forbes 4-Star hotel is a 42-story tower with over 200 rooms (127 guest rooms plus residences), over 10,000 square feet of meeting space, and 3 food and beverage outlets. This includes the 3-meal restaurant, bar, and in-room dining.
• Classification: Full-Time
• Shift: Various - must have availability to work weekdays and holidays.
The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:
- Prior experience in hotel accounts payable or general accounting functions.
- Proficiency in computer software applications to include: OnQ, Infogenisis, and Delphi.
- Working knowledge of all Windows based Accounting systems.
- Strong level of proficiency in Excel.
- Strong organization and maintenance skills.
- Strong team player, enthusiastic to learn and accomplish the Finance Department and Waldorf Astoria Hotels and Resorts' overall goals.
- Experience in a luxury environment is a plus.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Hospitality Management is a plus.

What will I be doing?
As an Accounting Analyst, you will perform activities to support the Accounts Payable and General Accounting functions. The Analyst will participate in the development and processes of accurate reports and account management. In addition to performance, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.
- Support Company's philosophy and company culture.
- Process accounts payable invoices in accordance with company policy, system resources and timelines.
- Obtain approvals from department heads on invoices to be paid; make property accounting entries in ledger; reconcile discrepancies with vendors; prepare transmittal of invoices for payment.
- Process check requests, generate accounts payable and refund checks.
- Assist in issuing banks to other cashiers as needed, and maintain a documented. inventory of all cashier banks. Collect and count all cashier envelopes daily, and research any cash variances. Conduct periodic audits of cashier banks. Notify management of any issues or problems.
- Assist in preparing reports such as petty cash reports, over and short reports, General Cashier reports, cash management reports and/or other reports as needed.
- Reconcile vendor statements.
- Perform end of month accruals.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.
- Report results to others and aids others to understand financial matters.
- Develop and maintain constructive and cooperative working relationships with other finance departments and corporate departments they support.
- Collaborate with manager to establish specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish project/department goals.
- Attend staff meetings pertinent to work assignments.
- Research and respond to information requests from internal departments and management.
- Act in accordance with fire, health and safety regulations on property and follow the correct procedures when required.
