Salary Range: $47,731/year or higher, commensurate with experience and/or education
JOB SUMMARY
The Accountant II prepares and processes financial documents and reporting. Compares and reconciles monthly transactions and other financial activities, researches, and responds to inquiries.
DUTIES
- Compiles, analyzes, researches, reconciles, and reports on ledger activities for assigned areas
- Researches and responds to inquiries from students and other departments and provides information to aid with problem resolution
- Researches and creates regular and correcting journal entries and deposits; Prepares for monthly and year-end functions
- Generates regularly scheduled reports and submits as required to UHS/BOR, state or federal agencies
- Performs research and collects data for annual reports, including preparation of supporting schedules
- Participates in problem-solving, troubleshooting, and testing the Finance, Student, and other appropriate systems; responsible for the departmental website
- Performs financial tasks related to the specific department

- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, Outlook, and Teams, and in PeopleSoft
Abilities:
- Ability to be approved for UHS Finance System Access
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse university community
