Whether we are serving guests, a fellow team member, or a trucking company, we are dedicated to fueling people and keeping North America moving.All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, protected veteran status or any other characteristic protected under applicable federal, state or local law.Job DescriptionIn this role, you will classify, examine, and analyze accounting records, prepare related financial reports and statements for management, and handle moderately complex accounting duties.Perform general accounting activities including the preparation, maintenance, and reconciliation of certain ledger accounts relating to Accounts Receivable (AR)Reconciliation of cash accounts, including research and follow-up of outstanding itemsReceive and post customer payments on a timely basisPrepare, record, analyze, and report accounting transactions and ensure the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)Oversee and approve certain journal entries, ensuring accuracy in the general ledger and validating those transactions with bank reportsConduct or assist in the documentation of accounting projectsPerform special projects as assignedModel behaviors that support the company’s common purpose; ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest levelEnsure all activities comply with rules, regulations, policies, and proceduresComplete other duties as assignedAdditional DutiesAssist with various month-end close tasksSupport, guide, and assist the Cash Applications team specificallyQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent certificate requiredBachelor’s degree in finance or accounting is strongly preferredMinimum two years experience in accounting or related area requiredGeneral Ledger experience strongly preferredSpecialized Knowledge Intermediate Microsoft Office skills with a focus on ExcelIntermediate knowledge of general ledger (GL) accounting softwareExperience with customer account databases a plusCompetenciesStrong organizational skills with attention to detailExcellent analytical and critical thinking skillsStrong teamwork, problem-solving, conflict management, influencing, and negotiation skillsStrong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to communicate financial principles and practices with non-finance team membersGood attitude with a willingness to learn and follow instructionsAbility to meet deadlines, work extended hoursAdditional InformationNation-wide Medical Plan/Dental/Vision401(k) Flexible Spending AccountsAdoption AssistanceTuition ReimbursementWeekly PayOnsite GymOnsite Cafeteria All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines2062
