Germania Insurance has an exciting opening for an Accountant I.
As an Accountant I you will join a collaborative team of accounting professionals and be responsible for:

• Gathering data necessary to prepare the general ledger for property and casualty insurance companies.
• Preparing bank reconciliations.
• Preparing various monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including NAIC quarterly and annual statement.
• Preparing statistical filings and miscellaneous data call reports.
• Gathering of data for the preparation of estimated tax calculations. Compile information requested by auditors.

Job Requirements: College degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, or equivalent experience with high school diploma or equivalent required.
Location: This position reports full-time to our home office in Brenham, Texas.
