About the Role:

The Accountant is responsible for the daily sorting, distribution, and management of incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and other deliveries made to the finance and accounting groups at Atlas Real Estate Group. The ideal candidate should have excellent organizational and time-management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.They will also work closely with the accounting staff, Controller and VP of Finance, and will have varied responsibilities within the accounting department.

• Compiles and analyzes financial information in order to transact journal entries to the general ledger.
• Performs inter-company billings for assigned companies and ensures related inter-company accounts are in balance.
• Maintains knowledge of Company’s values and strategic plan.
• Performs additional assignments per management’s direction.
• Receive, sort and distribute all incoming and outgoing mail, packages, and deliveries.
• Follow up on correspondence
• Distribute correspondence to appropriate team members
• Enter invoices into accounting system . Deposit checks into accounts. Deliver checks to the bank.
• Reconciles financial information in detail for balance sheet accounts.
• Identifies potential reconciling differences for various accounts and works with the team to resolve differences
• Handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information and documents.
• Assist with general office tasks, including photocopying, faxing, and scanning.
• Communicate and coordinate with various departments and personnel regarding mail, packages, and deliveries.

• Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or in a related field required
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.
