BillingPlatform is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to experience a start-up culture while being involved in all facets of the business. Your contribution will be pivotal to the expansion of our Finance department.
Responsibilities:
* Own the month-end close process, including financial statement preparation and budget-to-actual analysis.
* Oversee bookings, billing, revenue processes, and accounts payable and collection functions.
* Review and sometimes prepare journal entries and reconciliations for balance sheet accounts, including cash, AR, prepaid accounts, accruals, and deferred revenue.
* Administer commission accruals and payouts.
* Oversee payroll processing and other HR-related functions.
* Assist with general ledger activity, financial reporting, and other accounting functions.
* Be the primary point of contact for audits and tax filings.
* Collaborate with multi-department operations to enhance accounting processes and policies.
* Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and hiring for your team.
* Manage projects and conduct primary reviews of staff work, mentoring a team.
* Proactively assist with the close process and audits.
