Account Supervisor

Overview

This position will work with senior leaders at the firm to build and execute communications initiatives for clients across a range of sectors. Candidates with relevant experience in sectors including education (K12 and higher education), workforce development, military affairs, healthcare, and financial services will be prioritized.

 

A successful candidate will have experience researching, planning, executing and measuring integrated communications campaigns in an in-house or agency environment. They will possess strong writing, project management and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and willingness to be an agile, flexible team player are a must. The ideal candidate will have a public affairs, public relations or similar background.

 

The position will be based in Indianapolis, Ind.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience in strategic communications, public relations or public affairs.
• Strong organization and project coordination skills and the ability make recommendations, initiate work and complete projects with minimal direction.
• Proven ability to write high quality written materials, including: research memos; briefing documents; bylines (op-eds, blogs and social media articles); analytical pieces, website and social media copy, news releases, talking points and more. Writing should reflect 1) an ability to clarify and simplify complicated issues and diverse subject matter, and 2) versatility in tone and technique depending on the author and/or audience.
• Interpersonal skills, including the ability to work quickly, exercise good judgement, negotiate approvals diplomatically, and maintain composure and production quality under tight deadlines.
• Experience with earned media relations, including the ability to cultivate compelling pitch angles and story opportunities on behalf of clients and develop working relationships with local, trade and inter/national media.
• Experience interfacing directly with clients or top executives in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated passion for learning and openness to feedback and coaching.
• Ability to establish and meet deadlines on time and on budget, work under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously.
