GS-07: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-06) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: maintaining accounting or financial ledgers; posting financial transactions; preparing accounting reports; reconciling accounts and working with a variety of accounting and financial automated systems.
GS-08: One year of specialized experience equivalent in level of difficulty and responsibility to that of the next lower grade (GS-07) within the federal service, which demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position, is required.
Specialized Experience is defined as: maintaining ledgers, reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers, and preparation of required reports and analysis of accounting information to ensure proper maintenance of ledgers and records, trial balances, reconciliations, adjustments, and corrective actions; working with a variety of accounting and financial automated systems; and providing professional advice, assistance, and information to customers and co-workers.
Time-in-Grade: Current or former federal employees who have held a GS position in the preceding 52 weeks, must meet the time in grade requirement. To be considered for the GS-7, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-6 or higher in the Federal service. To be considered for the GS-8, applicants must have served 52 weeks as a GS-7 or higher in the Federal service.
This announcement will be used to fill positions with an entry grade of GS-07, or GS-08 with a target grade of GS-08.The minimum salary for grade GS-07 is $47,124, the maximum salary is $61,261. The minimum salary for grade GS-08 is $52,188, the maximum salary is $67,848.
GS-07 Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled.
GS-08 Substitution of Education for Experience: Eighteen months of graduate level education may be substituted to meet the specialized experience required when it is directly related to the work of the position being filled.
Equivalent combinations of successfully completed graduate level education and experience may be used to meet total experience requirements.
