The Finance Department at Eastern Territorial Headquarters has a new opportunity for an Account Processing Manager. This position has primary oversight over the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Data Entry functions.
- Oversee the daily functions of Receipting, Data Entry, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff for both Operating and Trust, where applicable.
- Review and reconciliation of sub-ledgers to the General Ledger with the ability to issue credit memos as appropriate.
- Implement automation and process improvements to reduce redundancy.
- Ensure compliance with required external and internal controls and provide information to auditors as requested.
- Ensure that internal requirement reporting is accurate, reliable, and timely.
- Keep current on all changes in Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable requirements and procedures.
- Prepare wire transfers.
- Oversee the annual issuance of IRS Forms 1099 to vendors and other payees.
- Oversight of document scanning for areas of responsibility.
- Responsible for training and cross-training of staff with regards to proper coding and other requirements.
- Responsible for set-up and maintenance of plans for back-up staff for each position.
- Ensure timely payments of expense vouchers and vendor invoices
- Review invoices for appropriate coding, approvals and documentation
- Responsible for responding to vendor and internal inquiries regarding payments
- Other duties as assigned for the effective operation of the Department
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting or related discipline.
- 3-5 years of related experience in general accounting or finance.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable practices and procedures.
- Strong team player with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other Departments, Divisions, agencies and organizations.
- Knowledge of computerized accounting systems, Serenic Navigator a plus.
- Good computer skills, including experience with Word, Excel, and Adobe Pro.
- Able to propose solutions to optimize efficiencies in current processes.
- Effective communication skills, verbally and in writing.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
