    ACCOUNT MANAGER

    Rent Butter is a SaaS resident screening and verifications platform with an emphasis on mobilefirst technology providing in-depth consumer behavioral analytics, background data, and automated verification tools for the rental housing markets supporting both conventional and affordable properties.

    We are looking for a dynamic customer success professional with a customer-first mentality to join our team. This function is critical to our business’s success and will be responsible for developing customer relationships that promote retention and loyalty.     Here’s what you’ll do as part of the team:

     Ensure Rent Butter customers maximize the value they are getting out of the product. o You will be responsible for onboarding new customers and making sure they are set up for success. You’ll get to know the product inside-out, and you’ll become a thought partner and technical expert to our various enterprise clients. o Provide support and training, as needed, developing key assets and documentation that scale beyond 1-1 customer interactions. o You will quickly address and resolve customer issues.

     Evangelize the voice of the customer within the organization. o You will be someone with direct, daily contact with our customers. You want to understand their pain points, workflows, and alternative solutions. o You will synthesize your findings into actionable, quantifiable insights that you then communicate to the relevant stakeholders in the company. o You will look beyond the surface level conversations with our customers and seek to understand the why.

     Build out the Customer Success playbook. o You will share with the organization what’s working and what’s not. You’ll build a shared understanding of the best practices in account management.

     Ruthlessly prioritize the most impactful work. o You’ll be working at a startup. There’s more to do than there are hours in a day. You should have experience managing many requests, prioritizing accordingly, and then managing expectations. o You can look beyond the chaos of the small tasks that sometimes come through our desks to zoom out and prioritize game-changing work.

     Own the role while deeply collaborating with the rest of the organization. o We are looking for someone who’s creative, excited about the mission, and not afraid to own the outcomes of the Customer Success team. AND, we’re looking for someone who is unafraid of collaboration, and who doesn’t hesitate to ask for help or involve the team when needed.

    Here are the skills and experience you’ll need to be successful:

     Demonstrable ability to communicate, present and influence key stakeholders at all levels of an organization, including executive and C-level.  Proven ability to juggle multiple account management projects at a time, while maintaining sharp attention to detail.  Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation abilities.  Excellent organizational and time management skills.  Strong verbal and written communication skills.  You’re not afraid to get scrappy in a small environment and use your creative problemsolving skills to deliver results.  Strong familiarity with MS Office (primarily Word and Excel).  Experienced user of HubSpot, Salesforce CRMs  Minimum 3 years’ experience in Account Management or Customer Success role(s).  Minimum 2 years’ experience in the property management industry is a strong plus.  Experience working with Property Management Software Systems (PMS), Rent Manager, RealPage, Yardi, MRI, Entrata, etc., or similar applications for configuring integration settings is preferred but not required.  Comfortable with the ever-changing priorities, deadlines, and job requirements of a rapidly growing small company.
