The Account Manager is focused on sales of Accent Decor product to an identified group of channel-specific, medium sized customers. The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships, drive sales with established customers, reactivate dormant customers and acquire new customers through web and tradeshow lead generation is required to be successful in the role. The Account Manager will be the main point of contact with their customer(s) and work cross-functionally within the organization (Product Development, Planning, Production, Logistics, Marketing) to effectively execute objectives.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Strategically drive sales to meet Accent Decor's annual revenue and margin goals.
- Manage and increase a multi-million-dollar account base.
- Develop strong customers relationships with existing customer base through daily phone and email interactions.
- Close sales through daily 10+ outbound calls.
- Travel to select accounts for in-person sales calls and service on a monthly basis.
- Identify channel-specific new customers and proactively solicit business on a regular call schedule.
- Develop extensive knowledge of Accent Decor's product line and competitive advantage in the marketplace.
- Create a positive customer experience for all customers and prospects.
- Create quotes for customers and close the sale in a timely manner.
- Generate incremental revenue through up selling and product recommendations.
- Keep accurate customer communication records and update customers profiles on a regular basis.
- Self-manage order flow and follow up on service requests.
- Communicate product delivery information to customers - pricing, freight, ship dates, issues.
- Effectively minimize returns.
- Attend seasonal trade shows in Atlanta, Las Vegas and other industry conference shows as needed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
